🎧 Discord and sound effects
Send the voice changer and the ready-made sounds to Discord.
The voice changer and the ready-made sounds can play just for you or for your friends on Discord too. To send sound to Discord, your microphone is routed to Discord through Voicemeeter, a free virtual audio cable.
1. Setup wizard (Beta)
- The wizard is in beta: first turn on Experimental features (Beta) in the program's Settings, then open the Sound effects page and click 🎧 Set up for Discord (Beta).
- The wizard shows the steps in order; most take one click. If Voicemeeter isn't installed, it opens the download page.
- In Discord, open Settings → Voice & Video and choose the device shown by the wizard as the Input Device; the step turns ✓ by itself.
- Use Test in the wizard to check the chain with a short tone. Undo restores the Voicemeeter settings the wizard changed.
2. Who should hear it?
Only me, Everyone on Discord or Me and Discord. You choose separately for the voice changer and for the ready-made sounds.
3. Effects and sounds
- Voice changer: Deep voice, High voice, Monster, Alien, Robot, Echo, Cave, Radio.
- Ready-made sounds: add your own .wav files with ＋ Add sound… or use ✨ Add ready-made sounds; put them on the phone with Add to panel as a button.
You don't need to assign hotkeys to mute your Discord mic or headphones: the ready-made Discord Mic and Discord Deafen buttons work directly while Discord is in a voice channel.
